Guest sambartle Posted December 5, 2010 Report Share Posted December 5, 2010 (edited) You don't mean flash Ubuntu onto the hero.. which is what people probably think reading the title.. you mean flash a new ROM on the phone using Ubuntu on the PC instead of windows right? im not sure how you usually flash a ROM.. but assuming you have a custom recovery, you can connect the phone to ubuntu as long as you set it to mass storage mode on the phone when you connect it.. it will appear as a mass storage device in Ubuntu.. and you can copy a signed zip on there.. unmount it.. and use the phones recovery menu to flash the zip..
