Pixmania is an international division of Dixons, so i'd imagine this will be kosher...although it may take a while for delivery?

For anyone else, topcashback give 3% cashback and there's this discound code for orders over £190: PIXNOVUK5
gives £5 off (expires Nov 29th).
Sorry I didn't reply before you ordered!
EDIT: Pixmania have been around for at least 6-7 years (probably much longer, just when I last used them!) so should be fine. I don't know how long you'll have to wait for stock though.
DOUBLE EDIT: Updated cashback to 3%, wrong info before!

Yeah as above part of dsg so you will be fine, have used before never had a problem. Means vega will be available to a wider user base which is good news. Glad this was posted have had an issue with my delivery so may just cancel and wait.

Pixmania is a very bad company, in terms of customer service. I wouldn't recommend them.

5.5% cashback through Quidco too
Had no problems with Pixmania in the past personally, we got our telly from them a long while back and was no issues at all.
So, with the discount voucher, £58 saving over Dixons and cashback available too that's a hell of a bargain!
Know where I am keeping an eye on for stock now
Edit:
Ok I know companies can be good and bad alike so more well rounded viewpoints can be had from - http://www.reviewcen...views52149.html
I noticed that even some of the 1 star reviews there I would take with a pinch of salt - for example someone complaining of a leaking washing machine is hardly the fault of the company supplying it as it's come like that from the manufacturer.

the problem i have with ordering from pixmania.co.uk is, that when i input my delivery adress (germany) they automatically direct me to the pixmania.de site.
and pixmania.de is not having the vega on their website !!
so it looks like i cannot order from germany, because they (pixmania.co.uk)
are not accepting orders from other countries like uk.

LOLOL I tried last night exactly the same thing and had the same result! They tell me to use my local Pixmania (Portugal). It seems they want to sell Advent Vega on the UK only...
I´m planning a trip to the UK but Advent Vega + trip is too much money IMO. If only I had a friend in the UK I could trust to buy + send it to me... Some people here offered themselves to do that to me and I thank to them but, of course, I can´t send that amount of money to someone I don´t know and trust they will send the Advent back to me
As for now I´ll have to deal with the fact I may have to wait until 2011

Hi. as it seems to be with bluerays and cars and other goods,
the business guys differenciate HIGH PRIZE countries and LOW PRIZE areas in the world.
now they sell the same good/device to a price of 399 Euro in the high prize area,
and with 299 EURO into the low prize area of the world.
they sell it exclusively into each country. so the profit is not damaged.
there is no competition. there is only profit :-)
how convinient.
i have no idea (in the moment) how to buy an advent vega.
but i know that if i wait more weeks, i can maybe buy the adam ink notion instead.
so at least there is hope for this situation.

I have ordered 5-6 items from Pixmania, and after them constantly reviewing the availability date, cancelled every single one.
Not a good outlet IMHO

Seems they have pulled it (from pixmania) - presumably someone from DSG browsing hereabouts and prefers to protect their PCWorld/Currys margins as long as they have minimal stock.

pixmania is real but they are a royal pain if you ever need to return anything. they ship from europe and your returns must go to europe. cost me an eye watering £12-15 quid to return a gfx card once to france:/
never again

Hi Chuck, I ordered one from here too, and had exactly the same email. Then I tried to call to cancel after finding out that the USB is unfortunately useless to me, and they said I could not after it changed on their system to in 'preparation', and later today I recieved a despatch email.... If anyone would like it (at less than PC World as it was £60 less with Pixmania) let me know otherwise I'm not signing for it and it will go straight back!

I've ordered mine through Pixmania. It's good to hear that they appear to be dispatching...
Anyone else had a dispatch notice ?
