Apologies if this has been answered before, I have searched!

Can I use the stock android home app rather than the vega default?  If so, how?

I've flashed to 1.04 R3.

just find the launcher2.apk file, copy it to sd card and install on vega.
simple as

Next question...   Where can I get the apk?!  I've got an unrooted HTC Desire which doesn't seem to have it...

Cancel that, I've just installed LauncherPro - does all I need.
