Most important point from article:

"Extra Large Screens: The platform now supports extra large screen sizes, such as those that might be found on tablet devices."

ooh, this is good, can't wait for it to be properly available and hope it's not too hard to get it on the Vega.

No major changes to look at as such, I like the full screen pull down notification area.

Hope Advent give us this version ..... sooooon ;)

From http://developer.and...ndroid-2.3.html

"Extra Large Screens
The platform now supports extra large screen sizes, such as those that might be found on tablet devices. Developers can indicate that their applications are designed to support extra large screen sizes by adding a <supports screens ... android:xlargeScreens="true"> element to their manifest files. Applications can use a new resource qualifier, xlarge, to tag resources that are specific to extra large screens. For details on how to support extra large and other screen sizes, see Supporting Multiple Screens."

Let's hope we are going to get this. Gingerbread may not be the optimised for Tablet OS but this feature means we want it.

I have tweeted @adventvega , might be worth some others asking them the question too!

Cool will be fun to track and see if they give us any indication.

Shall we use the #adventvega hashtag to track?

I have flashed the Gingerbread keyboard to my Vega and it seems to work OK so far. Hopefully we can flash new features as they emerge ?

Flashed via recovery.
