I have managed to get scummvm loaded (after installing the apk manually). I have downloaded the free version of Beneath A Steel Sky and transferred all of the zipped files to a new folder on my SD card via Android Manager. However when I select this folder to load a new game via the scummvm interface I just receive an error message advising there is no game contained within my game directory. Guest sipart Posted January 1, 2011 Report Share Posted January 1, 2011 Couldn't get that version to work, had the 'error downloading data' message, which I couldn't cure even by copying the folder onto the sd card as suggested. Still, I'm more than happy with CoMI to be going on with... Hmmm - now I haven't updated anything but now MI1, MI2, MI3, Day of the Tentacle and Sam & Max all work fine. Just download the zip linked in red text just above the comments, put it at the top of the SD then unzip - will go into correct structure. Its not currently in the stable release but it works well enough to keep my 4yr old daughter entertained. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17486207/scummvm-engine-mohawk.apk I can't take any credit for the actual engine code, all I did was build it. Guest matf Posted January 3, 2011 Report Share Posted January 3, 2011 BASS If you're having problems with Beneath a Steel Sky, you need to make sure you have the sky.cpt file. You can find it here: https://scummvm.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot...ne-data/sky.cpt I find though that it just crashes on me halfway through the first cutscene so haven't made much progress. MONKEY ISLAND 2 I don't think you can get the keyboard to come up for the code wheel. From what i read, you don't actually need to enter anything other than 0 and 0, but the scummVM doesn't seem to work. SAVE GAMES I find that saving via ScummVM (i.e. bringing up the menu and saving from there) is more reliable than using 'in-game' save menus. Broken Sword 2 a case in point - which works very well btw. It might be worth knowing that Good Old Games flogs many of these games for PC. I bought BS2 from them and was delighted to find that they actually use the SCUMMVM engine to make the games play on PC - so copying everything over is a very simple process. I can move around, but can't seem to interact with things? btw found out you can tap the screen like a mouse to get inventory up, hold on finger down then tap another (as if using a mouse) I still cant interact though, I did see it flash up for a split second but cant make it happen again!
