Best way to upgrade from QDL 2.2 build 10688 > DJ Steve's 1.5

I am asking for advise because I have already bricked a dell streak (thank god I was within 30 Day return policy), and don't want that nerve recking situation to happen again if I can help it.

Anyways, I exchanged my "Broken" streak for another and immediately used QDLTool to get me to the 2.2 pre-release build 10688. What I would like to know is what is the best way to get to steve's 1.5? Can I just flash right into it? Do I need any additional files that weren't flashed when I used the QDLTool?

I am pretty new to the android and would really appreciate any help!
