Then install socks/http/https proxy app like https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/6506 on the blackberry. As BB and Vega are on same wireless lan vega can then TCP to the proxy bound to wifi interface on bb and use the bb cellular dataplan. Might also be possible with 2.2 with kernel re-compile and fiddling to get vega to be adhoc. Guest pdej Posted March 28, 2011 Report Share Posted March 28, 2011 I realise this will only help people in the same position as me, but it seems to be the simplest way to utilise my companies BB data instead of my personal o2 data especially when abroad for work. I just swap the sim cards over so the BB one is in the HTC Desire and use the Wifi Hotspot. I think my Desire must have been unlocked from day one as I have not requested it and the the BB is on Vodafone, whilst the HTC was on O2. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest lorax1284 Posted July 3, 2011 Report Share Posted July 3, 2011 (edited) There are PLENTY of new Android tablets that have WIFI and BLUETOOTH but don't have 3G / Cellular support... tethering these devices to phones that DO have 3G connections is a no brainer, but the device has to support DUN protocol, not just PAN.
