Touch HD to Desire HD

I've just finished my 18month mobile contract.

The mobile I've got is the HTC Touch HD

I'm thinking of getting the HTC Desire HD

reasons:

- 1ghz processor vs 1/2ghz (iirc)

- 1.5gb built in flash storage vs hardly any.

- change to a better OS (Android 2.2 Froyo)

Windows Mobile 6.1 on the Touch HD is dated.

the contract that has ended was from mobiles.co.uk.

18months 200mins 200txt on O2. I had the Web bolt on from the start (Phoned up O2 and added it).

the total spend without extras, but including web bolt-on is £32.50

I'd rather get rid of O2 (get the PAC and move to another network)

I don't mind paying an amount up-front for it, as it makes the total cost over the contract period cheaper.

I'd rather have a max of £75-100 for the mobile and no contract over 18months.

included texts and voice call minutes are not important as I rarely make a voice call (Perhaps 1 a month). It's the data allowance, as I use that daily.

Opinions?

Advice?

Three now do truly Unlimited (No Fair Usage Policy at all!) Internet on the "One" Plan (2000 any network minutes, 5000 texts), this is £35/month with a free HTC Desire HD for 24 months. Or SIM Only for £25/month

On top of that Three has a roaming agreement with Orange and T-Mobile so if your out of a Three signal area you'll roam. This essentially gives you the best coverage in the UK.

Hope this helps,

I went for T-Mobile via a deal on mobiles.co.uk.

I got Desire HD with 600mins, 500 texts, unlimited data (FUP), for £25 a month and no additional cost for the phone.
