FroyoBlade 0.3

Based on Libero 003Z

Based on the first officially released Froyo for the Blade, FroyoBlade presents the latest possible build directly from ZTE's kitchen!

Currently not working:

- Telephony (due to different RIL)

- Original kernel (different base address, and some other stuff)

- Anything else I don't know about

Features:

- Stock Froyo with root

- Stagefright enabled

- 32MB Dalvik VM heap

- Enabled HW UI acceleration (may cause problems with the screen (distorted left areas, etc), please report them ASAP with your device specs too!)

Download:

http://fonix232.co.cc/rom/index.php?dir=%2Fblade%2Ffroyo

Credits:

- Google for Android

- ZTE for Blade and Froyo release

- Sebastian404 for making this build work

- ChainsDD for Superuser

- DSIXDA for his great kitchen

WARNING!

EVERYTHING uploaded to the FROYO folder on my server is highly unstable, and may cause your phone to lag, die, brick, or blow up. Hereby I state that I'm not responsible for ANYTHING what happens to your device. You've been warned!

- update-script (does not work with CWM 2.5.1.3 and higher)

update-script works again with ClockworkMod Recovery 2.5.1.8..... It was JUST 2.5.13 that it had problems in.

Hello all :(

Today, in the morning, the first dump was uploaded from the 00Z3, and I jumped to create You the first Froyo ROM from this stable build!

For now, as my device awaits a service repair, I can't flash it, that's why I ask You, to please, use DDMS to debug it!

Current features:

- 003Z dump (/system, and boot too)

- update-script (does not work with CWM 2.5.1.3 and higher)

Changes:

- Dalvik VM Heap increased from 24MB to 32MB

Download link:

(Please, only download if you really know how to debug, use DDMS, post debug logs, and help me debug it! I don't want my host to disable my account due to too much downloads, I hope you understand! As soon as there will be a stable build, I will upload it to some sharing sites, then you can freely grab it!)

http://fonix232.co.cc/rom/index.php?dir=%2...yoBlade_0.1.zip

Debug instructions:

- Use DDMS! Helps a lot!

- Post the problem logs only!

- If you can, suggest the fix too!

So Fast!! Great!

It would be really helpful if you could update the kernel for ext3 support.

First get the build itself working, then ask kalt_kaffee for a kernel :(

That will be great!

Actually I was referring to Seb's clockwork recovery, which does not backup ext3.

Working on the fix, the dump contained the symlinks too, that was the problem :S

Until someone wants to shorten the original set_perm system, it will be a looooong install...

Can we just remove the Symlinks from that script?

Nope, as afaik the system will not recognize the "old" file-y symlinks, only if they were made in the file system itself.

And I've removed the symlink files from /system/bin, and added the proper set_perm stuff.

Sorry for this, I'm a bit disoriented now, gonna have a date on wednesday and I am pretty anxious because of it, and also of this Froyo too :S

Ok, this date is much more important. We need pictures. Info. Facebook. Number. Addre- Uh.

Good luck, mate :(

There is another half to ROM Dump, that does all that automatically, , but since it is a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE bash script with lots of nasty hacks I'm too embarrassed to let it out into the open :(
