Can anyone recommend an app, either free or paid, that you can use to record incoming/outgoing calls?

Thanks

Allcallrecorder

It's free and works fine. You might want to tick record other party and set the default delete date to longer once installed

I tested AllCallRecorder on my Orange SF and it works really good, i am happy that the OSF is not one of the Android devices where call recording is not working, or only with recording the sound of loudspeaker thru the microphone to hear the other party too.

Thank you very much for the info, i can recommend this program in case of the OSF/ZTE Blade, i have only tested it on the De-Softened r0.2 Froyo release from Sebastian404 and can report it that so far it worked for me. I even had a call with my car bluetooth handsfree working, and that call got recorded as well!

I'm also using De-softened r0.2 Froyo and I think the functionality itself is actually built into the ROM with I have discovered today. If you push the menu button whilst on a call there is an option to record it, you will then find the recording in /mnt/sdcard

Cool, another useful info! Does that record the other party i am talking with too ?
I love the functionality of this program because it runs in the background and records all call so if i need to write an adress or phone number down i just go back to the needed phone conversation and can play it back anytime, veryuseful feature.

Yes it records both sides of the conversation, I was pleasantly surprised by it especially as it is built into the ROM. The only issue is that it records to .amr format however it is rather simple to convert and there are many online services which will do it so you don't even need to install an application. Of course you need to check with your local laws as this may be illegal without informing the other party that you are recording.

AllCallRecorder records in .3gp so that is also not the best format but convertible relative easily too. Sound quality is exceptionally good and clear, no compression "artifacts" can be heard in the conversation.

I use total recall. Its the best i have found. It automatically records all calls and has a builtin player to play the records. You can select between 4 different file types of recording and there are other options too.Unfortunately its not free but can be found in the usual places..

Hi, saw this thread linked to on another forum and thought it might come in handy.

I tried allcallrecorder but it doesn't seem to work at all on my Froyo Desire. I'm trialing total recall now too and it seems much better in terms of options and it works! however, I was on a call last night, I was in a very loud place and it seems it only records what can be heard from the microphone on the desire itself, as opposed to recording the actual sound through the phone if you get me. Basically I couldn't hear the other person on the phone at all because it was too loud for the sound from the ear piece, to get to the recorder.

Is there any way to set it so it records internally?

All the market apps have dodgy reviews.... Does anyone know of one that actually can record my voice and the other persons voice without being on loudspeaker?

Autocall recorder does the job but it only records like 1:39 seconds

I use AllCallRecorder and that seems to work fine, it5'll record the other persons voice. It'll use up around 200KB for a 15 min call.
