Now, I will begin porting MIUI over the Blade!

As a base, I will use kallt_kaffee's Japanese Jellyfish RLS2 (I hope you don't mind, bro!)

So here I go with a to-do list:

- Get the kernel working with the ROM

- Get it boot

- Turn over the screen (libsurfaceflinger anyone?)

- Get the hardware drivers, etc, to the MIUI ROM

- Make it smoother

- Apply the changes to the framework to support ZTE RIL libraries

Currently I am trying to boot the system, after it I will post my experiences :(

Based on the 0.12.24 release of "The Bundle" for the Nexus One: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=810074

Thanks for everyone who committed to this build!

Is the Blade HDPI?

If it's MDPI, you'll need the ported apps, then you'll need to make sure everything is MDPI optimized.

Hence how the Pulse doesn't have it (yet, maybe we'll get it soon ;) ) - we're too lazy.

He has a Desire Z ;)

And I'm looking forward to running MIUI on my HD2 ;)

That phone seems able to do everything :(

I've decided that my next device will be one with excellent dev support (Like the Desire or Nexus or HD2)

I really want to see how MIUI scales on the blade

PM me if you'll need someone to fix libsurfaceflinger.

Why not do it in public? Also, I need some help locating the drivers too, I found some, but can't find the BT, etc drivers (are those in the kernel?).

EDIT:

People, I have to leave, but first I'm uploading my stuff what I've done!

WARNING! It isn't a proper update.zip, same structure, but zipped at max compression (meaning recovery can't handle it).

I've replaced the following:

- Wifi

- screen rotation (libsurfaceflinger)

- BT config

- hw drivers (gralloc, etc)

- kernel

I hope someone continues fixing it up, and at the end of the day when I come back, we will have a probably-working version, instead of this definitely-not-working one :(

Afaik, Tom G is working on the RIL part, at least a functional, 2G version would be good.

Any ways I can't help more today, I'm off to bed!
