Stuck at LG logo

My phone running Cyanogen refused to charge for a few days... yesterday it magically decided to turn itself on and work. So I flashed a 2.1 ROM to it, hoping the problems were all software-based and that might fix it, but I've bricked it. I've tried to reflash dozens of times using different ROMs, with no success.

When I switch the phone on I get a white LG logo, then the blue/purple LG animation which fades to the white logo again, and the phone just gets stuck there. I can boot into download mode, but despite flashing with a fastboot ROM I can't get it into fastboot mode (lg logo displays, screen doesn't go black, fastboot commands don't work).

I've been searching the forum all day and trying every suggestion I could find, with no luck. I've tried:

* disabling LGE Modem in device manager, rebooted, reconnect phone

* flashing using KDZ in all 3 modes both when the phone is stuck and also in download mode

* flashing using the KP500 updater as described at http://android.modaco.com/index.php?showto...t&p=1394990

* flashing using LG mobile support tool recovery option

* reinstalling LG drivers

NONE of this has worked. The phone is now stuck at the Vodafone splash screen (last attempt was with vodafone official ROM).

Can anyone help me with this?

ok heres what u have to do 1stly put your phone in fastboot(i assume u know that since u put 2.2) open cmd and type fastboot.exe -w

after that unplug your phone note *DO NOT TURN IT ON* after that remove the mem card and battery and holding the volume down button connect it to the pc(do not leave the button until it says download mode after that open the kdz updater select 3GQT and phone mode cs_emergency and flash it with a suitable rom after that your phone should reboot with the standard 2.1 rom

note it might take a while at the 1st boot so be patient

hope this helps you ;)

UPDATE: Attempt to flash with KDZ in DIAG mode while phone is stuck at Vodafone logo completes successfully, but the phone still hangs when it reboots..

UPDATE 2: Attempted flashing with phone in download mode through LG Mobile Support tool in recovery mode, error "No software update available for this device"

UPDATE 3: I found another post on here that suggested connecting to the phone through hyperterminal to do a factory reset. Tried that, didn't work.

UPDATE 4: Some people are reporting this problem with a corrupt SD card. Removed SD card, still having this problem......

:P
