hi,
my advent is not booting anymore. i see the backlight,
but there is no booting.

when connected to the pc, and adb running, it says device not
found.
i do not hear the connect sound when i have the cable connected between pc and advent vega.

how can i make sure the USB driver for windows are installed properly ?
my idea was to try to flash it again, and i think it seems PC is not finding advent vega because
the drivers (USB) are not installed accurate.
or is the advent vega completely "killed" ?
is there no reset button or method to reset the device ??

USB drivers loaded or not has nothing to do with your Vega booting. When you say no booting, what do you mean? Did you install clockworkmod?

Do you get the "Booting....." message but nothing after that? Please be precise.

If I've helped you, you want to say "thanks" and you do not use Dropbox (it's enormously useful, especially with mobile devices), please consider signing up for it using my reference. You'll get 2GB of disk space for files available anywhere, any time on any device. They give us both an extra 250MB if you do sign up!

Hi,

Try my post : http://android.modac...ock-on-booting/

I know you don't have the same issue but you will at least put your advent into the original rom. From there, you'll do whatever you want to after.

For the first step, see this post from Princeotter ( thx by the way) : http://android.modac...p;mode=threaded

Hope it'll help you

when i switch on advent vega, i can see the backlight going on, but no booting message .
it just stays in the backlight on stage without booting.

i thought: maybe i can get it back by installing the flash again with a rom.
so i connected it with
pc where ADB is installed.

it seems, the drivers there (USB) are not accurate installed because
i do not get the RING when i switch on the advent and press the
combination back, power, back from switched off advent.

now i cannot boot the device, and i cannot connect the device with the pc because
it says: device not found (when i send commands to it via ADB.).

now my idea is that the USB drivers for connecting the device with the pc are not 100% installed on that device, and i need to install them first to get the RING when i connect device and pc.
THEN i maybe could flash the advent vega again so that it would boot.

i have no idea what "clockworkmod" is.

i had the customers rom r6 installed on that device.

Guten tag.

You wll have to flash the orginal Advent ROM again.

Put the Vega into recovery. If you see the backlight, it is too late and you must switch off the power (make sure you hold power for at least 8 seconds) and try again. You do not want the ADB drivers, you want the drivers from MyAdventVega

Flower56 gave the correct answer.

I had the same problem yesterday and it has definitely nothing to do with your usb drivers...also had a lit backlight and nothing further..no Ring ons usb plugged in or what ever...got me into a slight panic mode...
I just let the vega rest on the power main for about an hour and than tried to get in to recovery again...had to try several times, but there it was, that magic RING...Than i installed 1.08 vega en paul's pack R7 and worked like a charm again..

took me about 1,5 hour with waiting and a slightly higher hart rate than normal, but i succeeded...so be patient, let the battery load up fully enough and keep trying...

Its all to do with the power connector. Before you try to get into recovery you need to disconnect the mains power (until the blue light goes off) then reconnect then do the button thing. I have found that if you do this you can get into recovery very consistently

thank you all.

the problem seems to be that i cannot go with the advent into this recovery mode that is started by
pressing BACK, POWER (2 seconds), then my backlight goes ON and screen still without anything,
leaving power and later leaving BACK button.

but it makes no sound in the PC, and when i try to flash the software_imagev1.08 it says Device not found press any key. ADB says similar. so the device is not in the right MODE or whatever.

i thought the missing RING from windows had to do with the USB device driver not properly installed.

e.g. when i go into SYSTEM/hardware/device manager of the windows pc i see the Android phone entries with yellow "!" this means, "code10" device cannot be started.

when i delete these "!" from device manager, it is not changing anything.

No idea mine did exactly the same thing. Working fine, turned it off and then nothing...had to re-image...ah well.

This.

Was also having problems getting into recovery. By pulling the power cord before every attempt, I can now do it first time every time.
