u8100 Adding Custom Rom

Hey I just got an Huawei u8100 like not to long ago and i have it rooted and everything and everytime i try to put a custom rom on it doesnt do anything. I try to put it in recovery mode but all that shows up is a blank screen and everyone is like something to do on the recovery mode and nothing shows up just a blank screen,? What do i do when it gets to the blank screen?

Have you installed clockworkmod or amonra?
