Guest Chris Edwards
Pocket MVP (used to be PocketDivX) is compatible with Divx 5.0. You can use a program called VirtualDub -> http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/ to resize your video, etc.

Guest stu_lowe2003
yes it does work, I am still experimenting with encoding the video for the best playback. Using a program called virtualdub is best for encoding the video files. video quality seems better than wmv encoded files, and sound quality is excellent. most impressive stu

Guest Thurstan
I'd like to know more about this - what does it do etc? Installed it, but when you go to open file, it says 'Error loading file reader'
Guest malloc
Hum... It wasn't meant to be released on such scale... It's just a test version, it can only play one file for now. Please wait for the version I'll release next week, it will have file selection / configuration dialogs, and English documentation as well  And since it's a GNU project under GPL, the sources will be available with it. malloc

Guest akarno
I tried this program and had a problem. The problem I had was that I have upgraded to the lastest version of Divx, 5.03. This means that anything I encode will not display on the phone.

Guest DJHope
Followed, the instructions looks like it has great potential however i encoded star wars episode 2 exactly as you have written and got some terrible statistics Dropped:17214 Played:21591 Avg FPS:5.07 The video of shrek looked pretty much perfect hence why i cant understand! Oh well maybe ill try another. DJ Hope
Guest sunny
shrek is an anime... starwars a movie... but you can do some change values to obtain the best quality... i e (less quality for sound more quality for picture...)
Guest markdotpeters5
I think you forgot to mention the framerate. It's not in the English instructions... Using virtual dub, set it to decimate the file (encode every third frame). This results in a video that's 10fps if it was originally 30, and 8.3 if it was oringally 25. I've done that with a couple of music videos, and they work fine. I'm copying over a full movie now, to watch on the eurostar to paris tomorrow :)
