change MAC adrress on a Blade

I ran into this issue ...

bought two blades, flashed one of them with all the wanted apps, nandroided it , and flashed the nandroid to the other phone, got two identical MACs...

is there any way of changing the MAC address after this ?

Try a factory reset, afaik the only place the MAC could be cached is on the data partition so if you cloned that too it maybe why it's duplicated. You may be better off backing up/installing the apps using titanium or mybackup root or astro etc

well, just changed it:

in the data/misc/wifi folder you have a file called athSavedEeprom.bin

pull it out, use a hex editor to change one bit of the MAC written there, push it back, and restart the phone.

after restart, new MAC.

I wonder how we can restore the original MAC of the device.

Does anyone know if formatting /data would help?

Also how did you check the MAC, by connecting to a router and checking on the web interface?

Settings --> Wireless & Networks --> Wi-Fi Settings --> Press Menu --> Advanced --> MAC address
