A2SD questions

Hey,

I recently partitioned my SD Card with a 512MB ext3 partition via clockwork (following this thread)

Then I wiped and installed FLB r11.

A2SD is working as intended - but there are some things I am not sure about..

I hope you don't mind - I tried to search this forum for each question (really!) but it's hard to find the right threads for phrases like "A2SD", "swap" etc.

1.) All my app installations will go straight to the ext partition now. Is there a way to keep some apps in the internal memory? I am thinking of important apps that I want to use always. Just in case when I want to remove the SD card sometime or it gets broken.

2.) I am using the default A2SD method from FLB. Should I use Darktremor? I think I got enough space even without moving the cache to the SD card. Are there another advantages?

3.) Why shouldn't I create ext partitions larger than 1024MB. Will something happen then?

4.) What happens when my 512MB ext partition is (hypothetically) full? Will it use the internal storage?

5.) Might I want to create a swap partition for any reason?

6.) Last but not least - do this method has any disadvantages? Aka should I prefer the TPT 300mb internal storage method?

Best regards,

tony
