Is it possible to root my Nexus One and not change my existing ROM at all? I basically want my N1 to work exactly as it should out of the box - except that I also have root privileges.

Would I still get OTA updates from Google?  Would they un-root it?

Thanks - although it looks like I might have to unlock my bootloader, which will, apparently, wipe the device...
