Hi,

I have just been asked by a friend if i can unlock his Hero, im not being lazy as  i have tried to trawl through the forums but there is just too much old info there.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to a post that is current for unlocking a hero on Orange?.

Surely someone has an unlocked Hero who can point ,me in the right direction. all i need to know is if there is either a code generator or if i will have to install a custom rom to do it.

Okay so I am new, haven't done this, but have searched and seen this - http://forum.xda-dev...ad.php?t=580910 - and this - http://androidcommun...htc-hero-22823/ - and other pages that suggest that you need first to install ROM first and that you need to borrow an Orange SIM card....
........I am thinking about doing this myself possibly in the next few weeks and will post here if I make the attempt...
