Help! Optimus 2x won't boot!

Hi all. I did something very stupid. I have a korean Optimus 2x su660. I flashed clockwork recovery and made a backup of my system, which went smoothly. Thinking that with clockwork recovery and a backup, i was safe, I then installed the Modaco custom rom v1. That install went smoothly. However i'm guessing because it was built for the p990, it did not run very well on my su660. Some FCs and the buttons didn't work. I also flashed the latest baseband(provided by modaco). After that, I figured I would just restore my backup, which I did, but after the restore, the phone locks up on boot. I tried booting multiple times, restoring multiple times....nothing seems to work it always locks up mid-boot. Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can fix this??

PLEASE HELP!!! :D

Sounds like you need to start over: http://android.modaco.com/content/lg-optim...062-15-03-2011/ :D

I've nvflashed 5-6 times by now, and I only got this phone last friday :D

Even worse. I nvflashed the stock rom and now it basically does nothing. I turn on the power and i get the lg logo, and its done. Before, it started to boot for a bit, then locked up.

Why on earth would you flash a P990 build on SU660?

Did you format all partitions before restoring?

Can you 'adb logcat' when booting with your restored backup?

I'll try and get you a nvflash for your device.

Hi Paul-

First let me say that you are doing an awesome job here and I really appreciate you taking the time to help me with this issue.

During the bootloop of my restored backup, adb logcat usually results in "waiting for device." HOwever, one time, it did output some stuff. I copied what i could from the command prompt, but I could not get all of it. The file is attached to this post. Any insight from anyone would be greatly appreciated!

I've downloaded the file and uncompressed it, but do not know how to flash a .bin file to my phone. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Sorry if its a stupid question, from the way i got myself into this mess, its pretty easy to see I don't know very much about android phones :D. Thanks so much~

Update: I've been able to get the p990 roms to boot and everything seems to function except the hardware home button and the two buttons next to it (menu and back). Still no luck finding a method to flash the .kdz and .bin korean firmwares. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I've done exact same thing as you did but luckily I get my SU660 up and running with P990 ROM. However, I've got myself into an annoying problem. That's the button of the SU660 is optical one and I couldn't use them any more. Can only use Power , Vol up, Vol down.

So, basically I'm stuck >.<

Here's my situation:

Yesterday, I've come across this topic and found myself in the same situation as civitur1.

My device is a SU660 and I was stupid enough to nvflash it with a P990 stock ROM (v10b - 25 Mar). However, I was a bit luckier than him as my device was able to do the recovery and got me into the "new device setup wizard screen" but it seemed the touch screen was not functional, only the Power, Volume buttons worked. After several reboot, the touch screen suddenly worked and I can managed to setup my phone but the buttons (Home, Options, Back) are still not working.

I've downloaded the .kdz stock firmware for SU660 posted above but got no clue how to flash it to my device. Any advice, suggestion, solution is much appreciated.

A question that can perhaps help solve your problem, when you launch on your computer "LG mobile updater", your phone is recognized as a LG-P990 or LG-SU990?

Iznogoud- Are you living in Korea? I managed to fix my problem by taking my phone to a LG service center and they were able to restore everything to factory default.

I have the Korean model as well, and like you, I cannot get the capacitive (2) buttons to work.

What did you tell the LG service guys to get it to be re-flashed?

Also, does this mean we can't use these Fr11 ROMS with our Korean phones?

Thanks

Hi guys, I also have the SU-660. Has any progress been made here? It's pretty dull having to stare at the stock ROM all the time. Any help would be great.

Thanks!
