Swedish Spring RLS4 Respin - Gen 1 and 2 - Lite or Phat

My friend has RLS 3 Respin Gen1 ROM installed.

If he installs this new ROM (RLS 4 Respin), does he have to do factory reset and re-install all the apps?

Or will it just work like an upgrade saving you from resetting and re-installs?

Quite likely... I have just done a Clockwork update for Gen 1 phones using the new kernel... it works OK. Probably do one for Gen 2 too... should be OK for SS3 and 4 updates.

Quite likely... I have just done a Clockwork update for Gen 1 phones using the new kernel... it works OK. Probably do one for Gen 2 too... should be OK for SS3 and 4 updates.

The FM Radio causes shedloads of problems, mostly battery related, so I whipped it out. Easy to add back in though.

I am not getting what are these files for? I have a Gen 1 phone with RLS 4 Respin installed. I have clockwork 3.0.2.4 installed.

Does it just upgrades the clockwork?

Do i need to do this for installing RLS 5 Respin?

And finally when is RLS 5 Respin releasing? :)

These are just in case ss3 or ss4 users want to update their kernel to the ss5 version without affecting anything else. Not a full ROM flash in other words.

TBH, I have noticed no advantages (or disadvantages).

Flash via Clockwork, no wipe. Get the Gen right though!
