I'm sorry I'm in a bit of a topic starting mood today, but in this thread I want to talk about

the 2nd issue that really bugs me with this phone.

The battery seems to become pretty hot during operation, especially if the phone is using all

of its sensors or is in a charging process.

I've pinpointed two scenarios where the battery becomes pretty hot:

Use the phone during the charging process (it seems this only happens if the battery is at a low

level) e.g. play/install whatever.

- Use GPS Status, this seems to put a lot of stress on the phone, because the power consumption

is rising and the temperature is drastically increasing. This could be due to the fact that GPS Status

uses the GPS receiver, the magnetometer/compass and the accelerometer to show details on the screen.

I've monitored the last 1-2 days with battery monitor widget. I'll attach a screenshot of the temperature

readouts.

As you can see, mine reaches temps as high as 38 °C. Is this normal?

Cheers

Yep, perfectly normal.

It's probably not a physical problem up to 55 although I wouldn't expect it to exceed 45 in normal use (warm ambient).
