Few people in xda got this version in their new streaks.

Is this an "Official" build?

How does this compare with the following?

Android Version: 2.2

Baseband Version: GAUSB1A131800-US

Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9-perf

OEM Version: GAUSB1A131800

Build Number: 12821

Is it worth upgrading?

Thanks,

Bob

I just received a new Streak pre-installed this 347 ROM. After installed Strekmod I am able to use nandroid to backup/restore. I tried DJ_steve 1.9 and always stuck at Dell logo. Moved to 1.6.1 it kept rebooting at Dell logo. Tried 1.8.1 it stuck at STREAKDROID screen. I have waited over 30 min before each case. Tried removing battery and no help. Does anybody ever successfully boot up any custom ROM from this official (347) build? or maybe some HW change with this new unlocked version?

i would recommending doing few things here

1. try to flash the version 1.5.1 This usually helps.

2. if not - try flashing clockworkmod recovery and then flashing 1.5.1

Secondly a request.

- Can u check and see if there is file called update.pkg in your memory card. That should be the 347 rom and would be a great assest for the forum if you could post it.

- IF that file is missing , can u upload your nandroid back up . THe back up posted in the first post is missing some files.

Thanks

I was able to flash 1.5.1, then 1.6.1 and 1.7.0. With 1.8.1 It kept rebooting to the DELL logo and couldn't move on. In each reboot I see the logo light dim a bit after around 10 sec, then stay for around 30sec and reboot. Flashed 1.9 and stay still at DELL logo without dimming or reboot.

Can somebody upload 1.9 nandroid backup? Really appreciated!

There is no update.pkg in the SD card. The nandroid backup can be found here:

Thanks for the link.

Once u flash 1.51, restart device.

Shut down again

Flash 1.9 directly. .u don't have to go through all the versions in-between.

That one is broke !!!!

Use a text editor to remove the rows other than boot, firstboot and system in nandroid,md5 and it will work. I have done it before though I am not the one uploaded the file.

I'd appreciate if anybody can upload nandroid backup for DJ_steve's 1.9.

Thanks!

I'm currently running Steve's 1.9 release and the 318 baseband....

Is there any advantage to flashing this 347 release and to update my baseband and then flashing StreakDroid 1.9 over it again or would it just be a waste of time?

Hi Jax,

My name is sonny from jakarta, indonesia. That is the exact model of the streak 5 we get here in indonesia.. The OTA update never succeeded so I rooted straight using z4root.apk. Turned out to be ok but I get scared of upgrading it as I per to 2.2.2..

What do you recon?

Tks,

Sonny

I left that phone on 2.2 and it is working fine, and meets all of our needs. I did enable side loading as noted here:
