Can't disable 'Battery Full' Popup - not solved

Hello,

I've just updated to FR13 from FR12.

I've selected:

  • Disable 'Battery Full' Popup (Vanilla Style ROMs)
  • Disable 'Battery Full' Popup (Stock or Gingerbread Style ROMs)

    • Froyo standard (Vanilla) theme

    When my device reaches 100% of charge, the popup comes up.

    What I have to disable or enable in the kitchen to completely disable it?

    Someone can help me, please?

You must not select both of the "Disable battery full..." options, but only ONE of them. If you have selected the "Froyo standard Vanilla theme", the correct choice for the battery popup to be disabled would be "Disable 'Battery Full' Popup (Vanilla Style ROMs)", but ONLY THIS ONE!

Ah, ok!

If I reflash the fr13 ROM selecting only the correct choice, the popup will be disabled???

Mmmh, strange...

I've reflashed FR13, selecting:

  • Disable 'Battery Full' Popup (Vanilla Style ROMs)
  • Froyo standard (Vanilla) theme

But at 100% of charge the popup comes up, it's very annoying.

What I have to do???

This may be a bit overkill, but did you wipe before you flashed?

(I always wipe before I flash a new rom, regardless of whether it says I have to or not)

- As I understand it, the update zip file contains well, an entire file structure, which is then basically recreated on the phone,

I suspect that having installed a rom with both options selected, put an extra file or two in there somewhere,

which are probably not being deleted when you just re-flash without wiping.

Hello,

I've not done a wipe only because I've installed and configured a lot of apps!

Yes, I think the same.

So, I have to wipe all :mellow: ...

Wipe/factory reset doesn't touch /system anyway, you need to find the format system option (I forget where it is) instead. This wont hurt any of your data.

Hello,

I have in ClockworkMod (among other options):

wipe data/factory reset

wipe cache partition

mounts and storage->format /cache

mounts and storage->format /data

mounts and storage->format /sdcard

mounts and storage->format /system

advanced->Wipe Dalvik Cache

advanced->Wipe Battery Stats

Wipe/factory reset doesn't touch /system anyway, you need to find the format system option (I forget where it is) instead. This wont hurt any of your data.

What I have to choose to "partial wipe" my device, so I can maintaint all my installed apps and settings?

Yes, but this will then most likely not solve his problem, because AFAIK /system is formatted anyway each time you install a new MCR built. If you want to clear leftovers from previous builts that cause problems, you need to do a "wipe data/factory reset".

Furthermore, if you come from an MCR built later than FR3 (which is the case for the TS, because he says he was on FR12 before), you don't need to wipe/reset if you upgrade to a newer MCR built.

That having said, I unfortunately have no other idea why the TS still sees the popup.

That will remove the ROM, but not your data

Ok, thanks for all your info.

So, to conclude, I have to do "wipe data/factory reset" to not have the popup and to have a fresh new ROM?

Nope. :mellow: You CAN try if a wipe/factory reset solves that problem, but I don't think so. I'm quite sure that the problem is there because you baked something wrong, but I don't know what.

However, yes, you will have a complete fresh system without any leftovers from previous installations if you do a wipe/factory reset. But as said, this will most likely not solve your popup issue, as this is more likely a bakery issue. :o

I done a wipe (formatted /data /cache /sd-ext) then formatted /system.

Now I've installed the new ROM.

Is this ok?

NOTHING, the popup raise even after the wipe/factory reset and the new ROM.

I can't wait to meet the HTC Sensation, I'll sell this stupid device to buy a better (I hope) one.

The popup will also be gone if the MCR is baked correctly. Else, EVERYONE here would have that popup, which is most likely not the case. For instance, I don't have it. :mellow:

I don't know what to do, then.

I accept any suggestion.
