My screen has this strange grid effect on it, like a static shadow. I can clean it off with a micro cloth but it just keeps re-appearing. The only other mention I can find is quoted below, which seems to be the same issue although my lines are not rotated.
Are we the only ones with the problem?

Anyone getting weird screen issues? #

Forgot to ask -does anyone who has one of these get a weird mesh effect on the screen? It's really hard to describe, but there is a mesh type pattern on the glass itself. It must be the glass, as it's most visible when the screen is off, and it extends all the way past the screen itself and into the black surround. I would say the squares are about 5mm across.

I believe that is the capacitive sensor mesh under the glass, you're seeing it when there is a coating on the glass that alters the refractive index of the surface. I get it when using screen cleaner but as I wipe off the residue it goes away.

Thanks, any suggestions on what to use to clean the screen?

Seconded. This thing is a massive fingerprint magnet, and it's a lot harder to clean the screen than my Nexus S...

Try a microfiber cloth .. but not those cheap ones you get for like reading glasses. The microfiber you'd use to dry a car. Works fantastic. The soft one

Brasso Gadget Cleaner is expensive (£5) but lasts a long time and is money well spent.

I never use my fingers on the device at all. I got a boxwave stylus and its the mutts nutts. Haven't had to clean the screen this week, despite heavy usage.
