Hi everyone, I'm new to android and wondering if there's any app that I could put on my phone that could act as a remote control for when my vega is plugged into my telly? I would like to sit vega near my telly and watch u-tube
I have a app on my iPhone called air mouse which works well controlling my laptop, but use my sanfrancisco to act as a mouse for my vega, thanks for any help
Will this work?

Not quite sure I understand what you are wanting the Vega to do exactly. I presume when you say 'plugged in' you mean using the HDMI cable so you can see what is on the Vega on your TV and if you can use the SF as mouse the only thing you are missing is keyboard input right? The Vega doesn't have infra red so can't be used as a remote control for the TV. If you can let us have a bit more info?

I'm assuming he's after a gmote type app that allows the San Fran to control the Vega via wifi, the way gmote allows me to control my PC media via Vega / San Fran.
I'm not aware of anything that would do this at the minute, but it would be awesome to find such an app - Network media streaming via Vega with remote control anyone? Nice

Ive not got internet telly so thought if i plug my vega into tv using hdmi i can browse utube on vega while watching output on the tv, i could just use a long hdmi lead i suppose, but thought i wonder if theres an app to just act as a mouse? I have a san-fran running 2.3 too, and was hoping i could use that while keeping my fat butt on the sofa

im a iphone lover, having had 1 since they came out, i wanna warm to android but being dissapointed with no video on skype, etc etc im finding it hard!
Why don't you just plug a wireless mouse into the Vega USB then as most work (but search for 'working devices' to find those tested) just need to set USB into HOST mode then you can work it from the sofa. As for video on Skype read this topic for an update on that front.

would love an app like this, especially as apps like "xbmc remote" do it so well between android and PC's (wonder if there,s an xbmc player app for android coming...)
when i tried an old wireless mouse it was locked into portrait mode and only went 2/3rd of the way across the screen (this might be a Rom issue as i'm using Corvus5/Newbie)
has anyone tried using a Zeemote as a wireless mouse for app control? you can pick them up for £7, you wouldn't need a surface to use it on, and bluetooth would keep it more portable than wifi

RemoteDroid is what you need but unfortunately like XBMC I believe it just works Droid > PC not Droid > Droid currently. Your mouse problem is a Corvus5 issue (see this topic for a solution from post 11 onwards).

I just picked up a long HDMI cable for watching stuff in bed with the missus, streams from my media PC downstairs via gmote, works a charm. Think the cable was £5 for 5m? Anyway, piss cheap, and no faff!

Already using remotedroid and gmote at home, what I need now is a blue tooth remote to use when I'm away from home and have the Vega on HDMI out, but the long cable might be an idea

Resurrecting and oldie here but full XBMC on Vega is usable!

You want the "non neon" build. Runs quite well, if slowly, at the moment on VegaComb 3.2 (the apk download is 50mb so I'm not trying it on VegaICS or VegaBean yet.)
Want to give the Vega & dock to my in laws to use as a media server, so this is ideal
