Bluetooth Woes

Hi all,

Running a custom MoDaCo ROM on my Desire (though I've used the prebaked one as well.)

I have a problem when the phone is connected to Bluetooth in the car. It pairs perfectly, the Bluetooth module correctly imports the contact list from the phone and audio is good.

Until, that is, the car is shut down and the Bluetooth link is lost. From then I have no audio - key tones, ring tone, incoming or outgoing voice; nothing. The only fix is a reboot. Occasionally, and even more of a nuisance, the whole phone locks up and I need to remove the battery.

It appears the audio is being correctly diverted to the car kit when it's active, and not returned to the phone when it's not. This occurs on two different car kits, and only when the phone has actually been used for audio while connected. It disconnects correctly if no calls have been made or received.

The phone was given a complete wipe before installing, so I don't think there was anything still lurking from a previous install. The behaviour is consistent, in that it will display this problem every time it's connected. Writing this, it occurs to me the only thing I haven't tried is another custom ROM without the Car Panel. In any case I'm trying to avoid another wipe-and-reload which mightn't help anyway.

Has anyone else seen this?

TIA

Hi,

were you able to find a workaround/solution? I have the same problem running a different rom (StarBurst) and encounter it only when the voice dial is triggered (not a problem with the car panel, or any specific voice dial program, I've tried several)
