Apps2SD, Link2SD or Move to SD

Have just done the update to CM and apart from some battery usage issues, which I can work around, everything is going well. On my previous Modaco ROM I had a 1GB EXT2 partition and used Apps2SD. Now I am running CM7 I decided just to use the Move Apps to SD Card in the Settings>Application so I didn't have to worry about a seperate partition as this just uses the normal FAT partition. My question is, is this the best/simplest solution or are there reasons why I should setup an EXT partition and continue to use Apps2SD or Link2 SD?

here is a very detailed post explaining the advantages of a sd-ext setup. It's not necessary if you have enough room for all the apps you want with android's built in functions, but if you need it you can free up a lot more space. I use S2E from market to move apps to my ext partition in CM7 - its as easy as installing and ticking a box (assuming you have set up your ext partition).
