Adding app to ROM

Hello all

I'm using Cyanogem 7.0.0 ROM, android version 2.3.3. in my ZTE racer.The radio FM is gone in this ROM but I have the app from a previous ROM that I save to this ROM app folder. But the radio is still not there. I believe I have to link this app to the system. Can some one tell me how to do it?

you wont get the radio to work under cm7 only for android 2.2
