i wonder how i am going to get the android OS fix for the current bug with the unsecured data transmission between gmail and android OS???
google just sent this out as a silent update - but i guess the modaco mod will fail to recognize any updates and fixes from google?
thanks for your support!

You never update custom roms unless you want to brick/unroot them. Custom roms usually have some fixes that normal roms don't have and opposite but you can't update one over another. Either use a custom rom or the default one.

1. If you really need the latest update use another custom rom that has this fix. If it's new then you'll need to wait a little so that cooks put it in their releases.
2. Or you can use the correct RUU for you phone and return it to stock/factory firmware. You'll be able to update the phone then and get your latest update.

★ Device 1: Samsung Galaxy S2 ☆ Android Version: 2.3 ★
★ Device 2: ACER Iconia A500 tablet PC ☆ Android Version: 3.1 ☆ OS: My personal HC rom based on Stock 3.1 HC ★

I was under the impression that this particular update, was server side and didn't need to be pushed to phones.

You folks seem very adept at computers. android.modaco.com probably isnt the correct place to get help on this topic, but Im desperate. I am an intern at a small computer place and my boss is testing me with a hard issue to complete. The issue is no sound with any flash videos on any website like cnn.com. I have done everything including reloading sound drivers, and reloading flash player. Sound works normal, just not on internet videos. Any advice? http://www.computer-...s-las-vegas.com
