I've had my xperia for quite some time now, tried so many ROM's, TripNMiui being my favourite.

Now after ive had a feel of other peoples ROM's I would now like an opportunity to port a ROM

How would i go about this? I'm totally new to wanting to do this so please don't be harsh on me :D

don't be harsh on the man even tho yeah trip and wolf and eric these guys code well. that doesn't mean you can't let others do anything because of their roms thats wrong & it should be against rules. help the man out he could also become a bright star in future it takes time. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.

Try that other forum... the one we don't speak about... the one with those flamers that managed to send Trip away (their loss)... there is a guide on how to cook roms (it's called android kitchen or something)... that should help... I've seen people who couldn't even set the permissions on pushed apks be4 the kitchen guide ,create roms on their own (well cook roms actually), but you get the meaning

Getting a ported ROM to boot isnt actually that hard, its getting the ROM to work fast/have it all working that is the hard part.

I have a ported AOSP ROM and a ported MIUI ROM, both from the Nexus One. There are alot of optimization to do!
