Hi all,

After i stupidly uninstalled too many apps from my new Optimus Black, it does not start anymore and is stuck with the LG logo. The short sound is played, then the 4 buttons blink slowly, but that's all. I think appart from the display, the phone is working properly as i hear the low battery sound. I think i have removed a critical app called LGHome or LGLauncher.

I have reflashed the device using the Emergency method with the LGMobile update and giving my EMEI, but it does not solve the problem.

I have reflashed the device "manually" with the FR/DE unbranded ROM, with the 1&1 (german provider) ROM, but it is still the same.

I am looking for any info how to factory reset the device (but i don't come far enough to use the Android menus), how to maybe reinstall the missing app, anything :-)

I`ve found a tutorial about hot to hard reset Lg Optimus Black:

Reset using hardware key

1. Turn off the phone by pulling out the battery and put it back in.

2. Press and hold the Down Volume button.

3. Then press and hold on the Power button until you see the device switch on.

4. An on-screen instruction shall appears, and offer you the options to Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock. Use the Down Volume key and select Clear Storage.

5. Next press the let go of the Power button.

6. Confirm your choice by select Yes or No. Using the Volume key to make your selection.

Your LG Optimus Black should now begin to reset itself back to default manufacturer settings.

i didn`t manage to get it working tought...maybe you have succes

I don't think that this works for the black. I hear it doesn't have a key combo to get into recovery like some other LG phones. I know this doesn't work on mine.

Since you still have original ROM, try to do what i did to fix mine.

-Make sure you have LG USB driver installed and LG Mobile Update software.

-Take battery out and write down IMEI number and put battery back in. Make sure battery is not low.

-Press and hold Volume + and insert USB cable and it should bring up S/W Update... on the screen. If not, try again.

-Now open LG Mobile Update software on the PC, go to Customer Support menu and the bottom, pick Recovery Phone.

-Type in IMEI number without any - / or spaces.

Now the program should start recovering your phone. Don't unplug until the program says you can.

Hi all Thank you Pihx for your help, but i tried 3 o 4 times this method in different computers, but ever failed...

I observed when the cell was with the LG screen, I pressed vol+ and power and the LG reboot, and sometimes after 2 o 3 minutes touching the screen like a piano (hitting a lot) the cell turn on!!!

Well, i didnt have the LG home running but... all the services was running (bluetooth, wifi, gtalk, whatsapp), but I couldnt run the titanium and unfreeze the LG home.But.....

(Important BUT) when i was in a submenu (no home with black screen), the talking search button works!!! (you needed wifi or 3G) you must look for a android market with the browser, and after launch the app android market and select the downloades app, in this menu you can select the app and run it!!!!!!!! only must unfreeze LG home.

Well, thank every body, and I hope this can help the people. (specially Optimas Brick)

SeeU
