Hi all,

I recently upgraded from my stock SD card up to a much larger size. I had several apps which were installed to the SD card which now do not work (icons replaced with stock android images).

In order to change to my current SD card I attached the Desire as a storage device and copied the contents of the old SD card to my computer HDD, which I then copied back onto the new SD card. I thought this would keep all my existing apps and media on the previous SD card. The media has moved across successfully.

The apps have not! Any advice on what I did wrong? Thanks.

The apps are on a partition of the SD, which you can't access with a Windows OS. I assume you're rooted, so just get Titanium Backup, put in the old SD, back up the SD and restore it onto the new one :D

Ah I didn't know of the hidden partition. Thank you for the advice, what would you do in my shoes...if the phone was not rooted? Sorry to be a pain!
