Building an ASOP ROM?

So out of curiosity how can a noob to Java Programming build a ROM purely from ASOP, I plan to try over the summer

In my mind I assume you just need to combine the ASOP Rom with Blade Kernels, but something tells me it is a lot more

Could someone point towards any tutorials on the web, I've searched quite alot, most are specific to devices, any generic ones?
