removing SMS popup on lock screen

The stock app isnt that bad however one thing i dont like is having my messages being displayed on the lock screen.  Does anyone know how to remove this as I cant find it in the options.  Even running a different SMS app and launcher doesnt stop it happening.

use another lock screen in settings/ location & security /change screen lock, and choose pattern (like throttle lock). you won`t see the messages displayed on the lock screen anymore.
