you can get a maximum of 5 years in jail for doing this... probably not a good idea to post it on the net lol, but it is possible

Are you sure? Have you ever studied law or smth? Cause for stealing a car give a couple of years only. Otherwise if someone stole from mobile store and made lots of phones having legit imeis for profit reasons that seems a crime..

look it up if you don't believe me...  i think its a stupid charge altogether, besides they could never prove it anyway lol

EDIT: 5 year for the u.k, not sure what the take on this is in other regions

5 years In Norway the system probably don't know that its possible, and probably don't have any law against it. So, i would not be worried about it.....

haha what isnt illegal these days though?

I could get into serious trouble for doing 31mph in a 30 limit, yet if i went out got drunk out my mind and battered the complete and utter s*** out of someone no-one bats an eyelid lol

anyway, windows 7
google a program called PuTTy
open the serial port that corrosponds to the serial link when your phone is in USB CP mode (check this in windows device manager)
proceed with instructions above
