All of a sudden I am getting H symbol for my cell network instead of E that was used to be since last 2 days....

Speedtest giving me 3000 kbps instead of 10 kbps with E before...

What does this H means? Is it pure 3G....

I did not pay for any 3g plan ... I paid for cheap monthly edge plan to use it outside as I have wifi at home...

So my question is -- Is it related to trip's radio hack or am I totally blessed ?

Lol but this is fun. Its superfast. :)

It stands for HSDPA High Speed Data Package Access

In it's crudest form it can be classed as a varient of 3G+ depending on network and tower you care connected to at the time.

Lol thnx for the link... but it was out of my understanding coz m in medical field...

But anyways H is something like 3g thts all I can understand n giving me superfast speed...

Its not related to trips radio hack as my friend has confirmed that our cell provider is giving 3g acess to their old customers.... in same cost... lol... 2 $ per month for 2 GB... and 3g ... I think cheapest in the world....

Easiest way to put it:

< Slower = = = Faster = >

E => G => 2G => 3G => H

I think E is optimised G so E is better thn G...

One other thing I noticed in 3g is that it do not get disconnected unlike edge while calling or messaging

I was told E and G are dependent upon which network you are using. Out here, you're better to use G than E, because E is non-your-network, whereas G is.

So for some, E might be better, it is Edge, which is usually not from your carrier, whereas G is.

Or so I've been told.
