Oki i have compiled the new kernel of the 30th june 2011

I have modified the files to support Overclocking

I didn't have the time to test it so all feedbacks are welcome

Here is the kernel to flash in clockwork

New kernel 32

Here i the original CM7 kernel to restore the system correctly

Original CM7

Edit :

- Battery heat solved

- Battery drain solved

- Wifi sleep bug solved

- Camera faster

Known bugs :

- 256 megs of memory

- Usb tethering broken

- Notification led broken

Excellent news! I look forward to it when all the RAM's in place.

And by battery drain problems, you mean the one that's been cropping up on CM7 since release, or something more specialised?

Nice one indeed. Hope you can fix the 256 Mb soon and I think I'll give to CM7 a second chance on my blade. :)

Thanks for your work.

Greetings from France. (le Québec, ça fait rêver  )

Why has ZTE released it for the V9 and not a updated code for the Blade?

Ive asked Sean Jacko to investigate that, will wait to see what he comes back with

Source is for all zte devices

All the configs files are in

Even zte skate is in

There are effectively modifications in code for Blue tooth

Don't know if it solve the bugs

Something to test

The current battery drain in CM7 is in libaudio? What battery drain does this fix?

Ooh! Another question too! CM7 is the only blade rom to support the notification led staying on whilst the phone sleeps. Is that handled in the kernel such that putting this on will break that feature does anyone know?

Thanks!

I confirm the LED notification is now broken. after a missed call it flashes once, quickly, and doesn't show again at all.

edit: I also want to know which battery drain this fixes..

Here is another BOOT.IMG for CM base on the same source but I have refine the defconfig.features as follow:

1. overclocking

2. EXT4 , CIFS and TUN support.

3. Fix sensor issue.

4. improve browsing with default ADW desktop [much smoother]

5. usb and wifi tethering is working

6. remove debug option that have no necessary

Am I right in thinking that now the source is released it should be possible to overclock the kernel for the almost ASOP stir fry rom as well?

If Y then this should have the rom kitchen movin'!

Hopefully the issues with bluetooth, GPS and FM radio will be resolved as well in CM7... Seems to me that much rides on this new kernel. Time will tell if the crippling bugs in CM7 are about to be resolved.

What do the devs think? Are the current bugs kernel related or not?

The leaked rom uses a .35 kernel and this is still the .32 kernel, so still no source or overclocking for the leaked rom.

what sensor issue is fixed?

Is the memory layout still 256mb ?

no. the one above is 512 MB :)

edit: the LED notification is also messed up on this one.

it flashes randomly a very few times after a message has been received, or a call has been missed.

Can I just confirm that the kernel you guys are trying to create is based on the new .32 one released with the Chinese 2.2.2 ROM? and the one itself in the original CM7 is the same .32 but of an older 2.2 ROM?

burstlam how come the file you created doesn't replace files in /system/lib/modules/kernel like the first kernel in this thread?

What adw do with the kernel ?

How do you have corrected the bugs ?

Guess you have used Tom_g patches

You have probably contaminated the new source

If it is the case this kernel worth nothing ; just continue to use the CM7 kernel

I read that as having made changes to the kernel to make ADW faster.

What do you mean contaminated? What's the point in having the source if you're not going to change it? In what way is a version with bugs fixed worth nothing? I'm confused.

I'm a bit confused too, I tested it for around half an hour on CM7 and ADW did feel somewhat snappier. Although I didn't really test the other things aside from sensor.
