Hey there everyone,

excuse my n00bness im pretty new to android.

recently bought a HTC desire and the clock keeps losing time at the rate of about 4 minutes per hour also very occasionally the phone will reboot itself

firstly i cant take back for an exchange as i had to replace the digitizer when i first got the phone voiding warrenty

i have tried all the usual tricks soft reset, factory reset, unchecking the automatic settings button nothing seems to help.

im assuming my next step would be to reinstall the stock firmware but would like some advice on doing this or any other solutions?

The only way to replace the system controls is to connect the phone to your computer as normal and download the correct RUU for your Desire. I find that this one here : Desire RUU works best for me when a root goes wrong. Keep me posted

Aww, sorry
Well, are you rooted at all? Or do you know if you have a custom bootloader installed? I know that with ClockworkMod you can erase the battery statistics and it rebuilds them, you can't do this (to my knowledge) with stock HTC though.
