Saw this advertised, anyone know anything about them, seemed a good price and may well be better than the vega? Worth buying it you think?

Yes indeed it does, but has 2gb of memory built in,has a tegra proocessor and comes with a sd card too by the looks of it, I wondered if it would be more suited to honeycomb/vegacomb?

In a review I read the display isn't great with viewing angle problems....ring any bells?

I'd be interested to hear if anyone has used one. If this would run honeycomb it could well be a little step up?

Does anyone know what this means in the specification:

"DATA memory DATA memory has 2GB , (need deduction System Image map size) UI to show has 1.7 GB"

Does it mean that 1.7GB is usable memory?

thats if they honour the £100 cashback and the length of time on the cashback sites is usually 7 months for payments

Looks very similar:unsure:

It is apart from the lack of camera, it doesnt get great reviews for responsiveness and the screen is still an issue but for the discounted price of 149 until the 11th it looks good for browsing and gaming

The £100 isn't through a cashback site , it's through misco themselves... says within 56 days by cheque

The 3.5% is through a cashback site (only from misco direct, not ebay)

If it had a better screen it'd definitely be a decent bargain.

The kicker for me would be the lack of a camera. Tablets are great for quick video calls, especially for the kids to talk to the grandparents.

Still, it seems like a vega in a slightly less appealing shell for £50 off, so if you don't want a camera or use a dock it looks good to me.

Not sure how well it'd sell at £250 when the only real advantage over the vega seems to be "hardware" home, back and menu buttons.

Well the vega is £199 IF you can get one, from what I can see this pretty much the same thing and possibly a tad better, it comes with an sd card included (16gb?) and is delivered for £136 from misco's ebay store (after the cashback)

From where I'm standing it's a supeb deal, seriously thinking about one for my daughters upcoming 6th birthday - perhaps I could get my Vega back then lol!

Seriously, since I've had my Vega she has not touched her beloved nintendo ds, or the wii!

I had exactly the same thought. My daughter is always wanting to use my Vega so I have been on the lookout for a cheap 7" but this sounds a better option.

I have not bought anything with cash back for years so I am a bit concerned about that.

You would regret the very very short battery life of these tablets.

Trust me I know the battery life makes them very frustrating. Always needing a charge Also be very carefull as some of the devices have no proper graphics drivers even though they have a tegra 2 chip. Also I doubt vega roms would flash to this also.

But do not buy from ebay as you often don't get your cashback that they offer you.

Just be carefull about buying one of these devices.

I had one and it was crap compared to the vega. Also most games I had working in the Vega would not run on this device or had very bad graphical problems. ;O)

Just a quick quote By Peter Cartwright at netbooknews.com about the device obove and similar ones. Pretty much says it all really.

Over in Italy, Hannspree detailed three new 10-inch Tegra 2 tablets on their tablet roadmap for 2011. The fist two I won’t bother with, just typical Tegra 2, Android 2.2, 1024 x 600 resolution tablets that’ll you’ve probably seen rebranded elsewhere, and there’s already plenty of those on the market already.

And this that is NOT the Tablet above

Then there’s the HannsPad SN10T3 with sports specs worth mentioning in 2011 – Android 3.0 Honeycomb, a 10.1″ 1280 x 800 display, Tegra 2 chip, 16GB of flash memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and camera, 10+ hour battery, HDMI, micro USB, audio out, MicroSD card and SIM card slots with pricing at 449 euros and due out in Q3 sometime.

Code doesn't work for anyone so beware....

Luckily someone was selling 8 refurbished Advent Vegas and I bought one of them for £146 with the voucher. Thought the extra was better for the cameras and more support.... Happy so far but lets see when I get it.

Don't buy it.

It doesn't have access to the android market, not sure whether a rom has been developed.

The touch screen has been reported to have been unreponsive at times.

The glass surface is non scratch resistant.

There is no forward or rear facing camera.

To say don't buy it is a bit misleading.

There are apk files for the market available that don't need a full Rom installing. Google is your friend!

The touch screen on every single tablet has, at some point, been reported as unresponsive. The Vega being one of the most reported.

No glass surface on tablets is totally scratch resistant. Don't use sandpaper on it and buy a decent screen protector and a case.

Yes, there are no cameras. This depends on what you want to use a tablet for. The Ipad1 managed ok.
