OK guys, this is an awesome mod I came across while browsing MIUI Android Forums.
It works on all MIUI versions!
What it does is disable wallpaper scrolling in the MIUI Launcher,
so when you flip between homecreens, the image will remain static.

All credits go to roenano from MIUI Android Forums.

HOW TO:

1. Download this file on your PC.

2. Extract the content of the zip to any folder on your computer.

3. Reboot into xRecovery.

4. Connect your phone to the computer via USB.

5. In xRecovery, go to Partition Options and select "Mount /system".

6. On your PC run "AutoModder.bat" file.

7. Follow the instructions.

This procedure will mod your Launcher2.apk and create a backup of the original one,
so if anything goes wrong or you just don't like the modification, you can easily switch back via the same tool.

As always, use it at your own risk!



Furthermore, for Photoshop users, I have created a .psd file
that will help you create your own single-page wallpapers!

The Launcher is indeed noticeably faster when WP scrolling is disabled!

Also, as you can see in the screenshots, I have modified the icons' labels to be in bold.

If anyone is interested in that mod too, I can make a tutorial and/or some flashable zips.

Just let me know!

Just wanted to let you know that I still love this mod.

Have it on both my home and work computers for when I re-flash MIUI.

Oh and just tried it on wolf gb and it tries but fails half way through. I hate scrolling background but don't want to use ADW or anything like that to disable it. Just waiting on Trip's latest release.

It works only on MIUI Launcher, unfortunately!
For stock SE launcher, it has to be done manually. I might give it a shot later, but I'm not very confident in editing smali code just yet!

Does anyone have a signed launcher2 I can just push to my Desire? The link for the .bat is dead now.
