Dell Streak Problem

Hello,

I am new here.

I have got Dell Streak 5 from UK. Its locked on O2. I have Rebel Sim too.

If I put only SIM card in the phone it says phone is SIM locked ( which is expected).

Now if i put my SIM card with the rebel SIM it does'nt complaint anything but shows

NO SIMCARD message. Please help me here.Whats wrong with the phone? any guesses?

Here are some other details.

1. Android Version : 2.2

2. Base Band 21

I am in India currently and using Airtel SIM card.

Please let me know if any more info is needed.

Don't use rebelsim. Get it unlocked (you could have brought the unlocking software four less than the rebel sim)

Or get them to update their firmware to support 2.2

Hi thanks for reply.

It was working with rebel sim and on service of "3" in the UK. This problem appeared when i got it here in India.

My wild guesses are

1. this might something to do with the SIM CARD MAP

2. or might be baseband issue.

One more question if i flash the ROM with custom will it unlock it? or still it will be locked.
