Hi I tried installing the HTC IME mod keyboard which I use on my Orange San Francisco onto my new Dell Streak but when I try to select it as the input method it force closes every time. Im running the standard 2.2.2 Dell ROM at the moment.

Is it possible to get this keyboard working on the Dell Streak ?

Thanks.

I'd suggest you scrap it and just use Thumb Keyboard, the best keyboard for the Streak IMHO

I'm really digging the SwiftKey X keyboard (phone), I haven't tried the tablet version because I had previously purchased SwiftKey prior to two versions being available... It's honestly (one of) the best keyboards available... That being said, I really like the HTC_IME, probably my favorite vendor keyboard, it just seems so well spaced out and easy to type on... It doesn't work on the Streaks native 160dpi setting, I believe it will work on 180+, I know for a FACT that it will run on 200+. It will just FC on 160 and not even work. If you change the density, you might have some problems with cell/call connectivity intermittently, you can definitely try it out though.

Screen density of 180 makes the phone section malfunction. Screen density 200 = phone section works without problems associated with 180. I switched from 180 to 200 several weeks ago and have not had one FC or unresponsive phone screen since. At 180, every 3rd or 4th call had a problem. I am on Simple Streak 1.2, but I've seen similar comments from StreakDroid users as well.
