Guest falum
I know this is only for the few who own a Canon EOS camera, but this looks great https://market.android.com/details?id=eu.chainfire.dslrcontroller&rdid=eu.chainfire.dslrcontroller&rdot=1 I've just tried to buy from the market but its for android 2.3 +. I'm on Corvus 5 +sp1 so no dice. Anyone had a go using vegacomb? Cheers.

Use Root Explorer to mount the system as R/W (read/write) and open /system/build.prop in the text editor (long press then "Open in text editor") Change these lines as follows: ro.build.version.sdk=10 ro.build.version.release=2.3 Save the file Reboot This will fake the market into thinking you're running Gingerbread. Now it may be that the app genuinely needs features that exist only in Gingerbread or later but often developers dont' properly understand or are too lazy to set the required parameters properly. IOW, it may or may not work but no harm in trying. Usually, an app will F/C straight away so you know it's not going to work so you don't need to do a full test but do remember the 15 minute refund window if you give this a try. Cheers PS. ro.build.version.sdk=8 ro.build.version.release=2.2 To get back to where you were.

CM7 is based on 2.3 and is very stable certainly as stable as corvus if you want a different approach

Guest Drizz
Any news if this works on the vega yet? I've bought it but as I don't have a USB host cable can't test it. I would imagine it should work on the latest Vegacomb 3.2 v9n I'll post back once I get a cable.

Guest stevethecow
this thread may be dead but I thought I'd update it as i found it while looking for info on vega/dslr controller... I have only managed to get the app working with VegaICS Beta1 (free app worked in Alpha3 too), nothing else would see the camera using the free app. free and beta app work well with my 40d with vegaICS, only limitiation appears to be my 40D:( cheers G
