[Cheerio]

Hi all,

I was thinking about rooting my htc hero, using the instructions here.

However as part of the process I have to

• Then get into recovery mode (by turning on holding home)
• Using the trackball, select 'backup' then 'NANDROID Backup' (If you need to restore it then NANDROID restore)

However my trackpad is slightly broken - the down doesn't work!

I haven't started the process yet, will there be a way of getting past this step, or are they any alternate rooting routes I could take?
