I was looking forward to the release of the zte Skate , but really i think the specs of the phone are a let down , i was a avid fan of the zte blade , only selling my blade (oled) as the release date for the Skate fast approached , after reading the specs , i decided on a 2nd user few weeks old ebay samsung galaxy 1 , i think ultimatly i made the right choice , it cost me 170 for the samsung , i recieved , 125 after all the fees for my blade, so it was a cheap step up.

its a shame the Skate is not the bargin the Zte Blade was.

It's because the OMC can't be unlocked and no progress can really be made on custom roms yet, give it a little time and check again after the actual non-network branded Skate comes out ;). Also what is a Galaxy 1? Do you mean Galaxy S 1? If so, grats on your purchase, that is a very nice phone!

It's nice that you could afford that. However that's £40 more than if i ordered an OMC using my Orange paygo sim. Galaxy S is a nice phone though congrats however i also like being part of the community as it slowly grows. The Galaxy S is already so well supported it's not as exciting to me! :)

the monte carlo will be as popular as the blade was as it is well made .i have tested it out with the custom rom cm7 and it fairly good not complete but has the ingredients of the start of many roms being developed .i have even tested some themes and they work .so watch this space ,like blade now monte can rule the next chapter .i hope.
