I seem to have discovered a easy way to unlock the headphones volume level on my ZTE Racer.
Dial *983*0# scroll down, run AudioLoop (or dial *983*21#) quit and music will play much lounder.
It works on all Racer 2.1 and 2.2 ROMs and probably the Blade too but not with Cyanogenmod.
