just sent zte a email about buying an unlock code from them, just curios about there reply... who knows it cant hurt.
apparently orange request them from zte (that's why they say 10 to 15 days)

I rang Orange to transfer my number from a sim only plan to Pay as you on Saturday, I also enquired about unlocking my new OMC and they said it would cost £20 and could do it right away.

yes, i also went threw orange at first.
they told me £20 for the unlock code an would have to wait 10 to 15 days to receive it
but after 2 weeks of wating they said to me, your sim has to be registered to the phone for 3 month before you can request it.

i think it all comes down to oranges customer services not knowing wot there actually telling customers lol .

I always get told one thing off one person and differently when I talk to someone else, nevermind.

i think orange are terrible all round.

t mobile all the way for me £5 a month for unlimited internet cant beat it, would cost a fortune for me to stay with orange plus the internet speeds are 4 or 5 times slower

I never use 3g or mobile internet, luckily for me...we have a router at home so its all WIFI for me, that's just for app downloads etc, for proper internet usage I use my laptop

yep, im the same apart from i rely on internet on the phone when im not in the house / near WIFI

could you post a link to that plan, their website has too many options to navigate. is that payg or contract?

Last time I checked T-Mobile their 'unlimited' was <1gig!  I think 3 are the only ones with true unlimited (eat as much as you like) data. Or GiffGaff 30p odd per day data.

its a 30 day internet booster for £5 i have been using this for 2 year now, fair use policey is 1gb but after that all lt means is you can only browse internet
inbetween 4pm & 12 midnight, then from 12 midnight to 4pm its back to normal / full speed i get a solid 250kb never drops


i did try 3s all you can eat data plan for £15 a month but they block nearly every site i use,  and is overpriced compared to t mobiles

That's for the std PAYG tariff. If you buy the £10 (or higher) goodybag, you get unlimited data.

Not so fast. It's their only way without knowing the random#. If Orange don't share that # with ZTE then they really can't compute the code.

The really good news is confirmation it's possible to flash a ROM instead... now we need either a leak or some high power reverse engineering. Always easier when you know up front what you're trying to do is actually possible
