I`ve noticed that the camera in the cyanomod gingerbread rom is MUCH better than that in froyo or eclair roms.  is there any way of getting the cm camera to work under froyo?   I like the cm rom best overall but the spurious keypresses are driving me nuts!

I think you should try GO Keyboard in Gingerbread roms. It pretty much solved 95% of the ghostkeys for me.
