Hi People,

Main reason for buying the Hannspad was to turn the pad into the new front room media PC via the hdmi output to a receiver then to the projector.

Hit a bit of a snag though. The projector is a dw318 with max output resolution of  720p but can handle 1080p input, but the projector only shows...............about 75% of the tablets output, if that :-(.
I've tried all the settings on the projector in relation to changing the input format to try and solve the problem but no joy.

In comparison the lcd TV ( direct hdmi cable) can handle the Hpads 1080p output but it's still missing about 10-20% around the edges of the screen.

I'm using Hannstitan 0.4 right now and the setting in "Display" area aren't very helpfull to say the least.

I haven't stuck on a variant of Hcomb yet as I'll lose HW acceleration and that nifty Galaxy live wallpaper.
Outputting 720p would be less taxing on the gpu as well as smoother playback to boot!

Has anyone got a work around to force a switch from 1080p to 720p or less?

Found this over on Slatedroid. If you flash it through clockwork it should change output to 720p. http://blair.be/hann...0pBuildProp.zip hope this solves your problem

Dont Flash that!! Its for Hannstitan only!

add these lines to the build.prop of whatever rom you are using.

persist.tegra.dpy5.mode.width=1280
persist.tegra.dpy5.mode.height=720


I used es file exploper (activate system write in its settings)
copied build.prop to sd , then add those lines using notepad via pc.
save and copy back to sd.
then overwrite build.prop in system folder with the edited one and reboot.


I had your exact problem and that fixed it (using HC GtabComb 3.3 Refresh)

Thanks to the both of you for getting back to me on this issue.

I'll have a go at editing build.prop right now while I can and will test it out when I'm back home.

Really looking forward to 3.2. Could have been on it now with my Vega if my gf hadn't accidentally broke my screen, but I'm more than happy with my '53 Hannspad though and I think that overall it is a much better device due to the 16GB built in memory and a significantly better screen for viewing angles etc and the lack of camera doesn't on the Hannspad doesn't bother me as the camera on the Vega was really poor any ways. Back on topic though glad I could help out and thanks roy8846 for that little hint as I'm sure I'll take advantage of it in the near future when 3.2 does get released for the tablet

Booted up the pad and the first boot went a bit funny so rebooted and now all is fine on the UKBW screen. Text is a bit funny but haven't played a video file yet but will do after typing this.

If things go well with this unit as a media player then I think I might buy another one for life out and about town, and also to replace the 5 year old laptop when it gives up the ghost.

Can't wait for a proper hw accel HC rom. I'm at my breaking point with 2.2
Does the Galaxy live wallpaper come built into HC like it does for GB?  If not can it be extracted from GB before an upgrade to HC?
